More on the mysterious Joseph Ralston Lendrem.
In addition, to turning up in the Fourth Draft or "Old Man's Draft" in WW2, Joseph served as a "Special Officer" or "Special Policeman" at a hospital in New York. He shared an apartment block with other hospital staff in the Bronx in New York.
Joseph Ralston Lendrem appears to have been the only child of Mary Louisa Lendrem, daughter of George Lendrem and Louisa Cale, and grand-daughter of William Lendrem who was the oldest brother of George Robert Lendrem (1822-1891). I'm guessing the father was called Ralston?
